Great for laminate & vinyl floors Swiffer SweeperVac Starter Kit We had just removed all carpets and installed laminate & vinyl floors. We have two dogs that shed a lot.
I bought one of these and loved it. But then it wouldn't run 5 minutes. Swiffer help is No HELP. She told me that the pad was to be used to move everything in a pile and then use the vacuum to pick up the pile. That is no where in there directions. I finally fully discharged the batttery & recharged 3 or 4 times, then tried again. I can now vacuum two rooms thoroughly. These are inexpensive enough to buy another, so I did. With these and my Shark Carpet sweeper, I can now quickly go through my whole downstairs. I clean the filters with my big vac and change the pad, before completely discharging the swiffer vacs. Then I change the pads, plug them in and they are ready to go for the next day. I do buy off brand pads at Walmart and use both sides. Now, I just need to get out that heavy old vac to occassionally deep clean my rugs. When I received the vacuum it had neither the headlight or the full bag indicator light. It looks like a much cheaper version of the vacuum represented in the advertisement. The vacuum works fine, but I still feel as though I have been ripped off, by false representation. Please keep in mind that I have only rental Rug Doctor steamers and a cheap Bissell QuickSteamer to compare it to. The scrubbing and water lifting capacity (albeit a slightly more narrow pass) is superior to the massive Rug Doctor and the cleanup and ease of operation is on par or superior to the much smaller Bissell. Plus the added attachments make odd-ball jobs clean up nicely. With both a child and an indoor dog, we use the cleaner weekly and we are very satisfied with the Hoover, the dog on the other hand... Black & Decker PHV1800CB 18-Volt Pivoting-Nose Cordless Energy-Star Handheld Vacuum Cleaner I used to use a dyson hand vac but the battery died and cost too much to replace. This vac picks up almost as good and its a fraction of the price ! Have just recently installed the first of these bags, and have not yet replaced it, but the small tab for covering the opening after removal is a nice addition (this is not present on Hoover bags, and if functional should allow me to toss the bag directly into my trash can rather than having to bag it first to keep the dirt inside). The suction is very strong since it has a power cord versus batteries. My sister got one the other day after I raved about it and she loves it, too. It is lightweight and easy to clean. We definitely are please with our Eureka vacuum. My only suggestion would be to lengthen the hose but that is a minor detail that can easily be overlooked. Love it. POSTED AT TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 09, 2010 25 COMMENTS Great buy - a $5 purchase saved my vacuum! Hoover 40201160 Windtunnel Agitator Belt, Pack of 2 It is obvious that given a bagged vacuum cleaner, the bag needs changing every so often. Everyone understands that concept, and its easy to figure out which bag type (its written on the box in big letters when you buy the vacuum)
It was less obvious to me that belts are also a normal wear and tear part, and that the vacuum clearly lists - on the little "specifications" sticker it has right on the motor - what is the part number for the vacuum bags, as well as the part number for the agitator belts. Came to know how I guess most people come to know - my vacuum "broke", the brush roll was no longer moving. A few online searches suggested this is what I needed, and the part number list on my vacuum confirmed it. Received the shipment in just a few days, which was great as my local Walmart was out of this part number - and cost a few bucks more going by the price on the empty shelf. Putting in the belt took a whole 2 minutes, and this was the first time I was performing the change. Vacuum was restored to like-new brush roll power - I remember how the vacuum seemed to self-propel when it first arrived, and it was great to get that back. Would definitely order from this seller again.....Tx POSTED AT THURSDAY, MARCH 11, 2010 202 COMMENTS Fun Steamer! Wagner 905 1,500-Watt On-Demand Power Steamer and Cleaner It seems like some reviewers expect steamers to work miracles. I just wanted to make cleaning my toilet easier. It works great for that (cleans those lid/seat joints like magic), and it's really fun, too! The force and quantity of the steam is dazzling, and even after using it for a few continuous minutes, the steam is still pretty much as strong as it is at the first press of the button.
